High quality holiday accommodation and carp fishing in the Norfolk Broads coming in 2010.  Within casting distance of the locally well regarded Mill Road Fishery in Stokesby, Norfolk.  8 miles of Norwich, Caister and Great Yarmouth and located in the Norfolk Broads National Park.

A one bedroom, barn style building overlooking the lake, it will sleep four with the use of a sofa bed in the living area.  It is attractively furnished and offers light and spacious accommodation.

The bedroom is comfortably furnished with double bed and plenty of storage space for clothes (wardrobe and chest of drawers).  You can lie in bed and watch the great tits going in and out of the bird house feeding their babies (in season!)

The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath with hand basin and toilet.

The main living area is open plan, with a modern kitchen with fridge and washing machine, hob and double oven. This is followed by the dining area, with table and chairs for 6.

The lounge area has views over the lake and onto the wildlife area of the owners garden, where the Roe deer makes a regular appearance!

The garden has table and chairs and a BBQ and over looks lake.  It is a peaceful tranquil area to sit and relax after a hard days fishing! There is also storage for your fishing gear or walking boots.

There is a private double parking bay for Old Pig Barn guests.

The Old Pig Barn is on the edge of Stokesby Village and is a 5 minute walk from the village green and tearooms.  Stokesby has a gastro pub/restaurant on the river Bure at the end of the village. Stokesby church is a 2 minute drive and has services there on an ad hoc basis.  The social club in the village hold events such as quiz nights and music nights during the year, details in the hand book for more information.

Acle is a ten minute drive and has a selection of shops, including a CO-OP and Budgen supermarkets. There is a pharmacy, butchers, newspaper shops, florist to name a few.  The country auction is every Thursday. The larger supermarkets can be found in Great Yarmouth and Norwich.

Bed linen and towels are provided, these will be changed if you stay more than a week. The kitchen has tea, coffee, sugar and various herbs and spices for your use. Cleaning products will be included. The Pig Barn is all electric and this is included in the price.

Mill Road Fishery is also operated by the owners and offers high quality carp and tench fishing on a day ticket basis.  Special arrangements are available for Old Pig Barn residents.  If fishing is your hobby then carp to 19lb with many double figure fish will give excellent sport.
